To Sec 1 - 3 cadets,
Here is the following list of things to do before camp:
1. All are to memorise the Red Cross Song by heart.
2. Each group is to come up with a motto and write it on their group flag
3. There may be a quiz/accred to the subjects we ask you to study. Please study hard as the person who tops the quiz will be able to earn points for the group and the group which has the highest number of points will be able to get prizes at the end of the camp. Most importantly, I am sure you people will like to do it once, do it good and not waste your own time. So please study hard.
4. Points will also be awarded according to your performance as a whole group and the effort seen putting into the things you do. Example: The design for your group flag and the cheers which you all will be doing. (You guys can pre-plan some cheers which you all will be using)
5. Make sure that your uniform is in tip-top condition as you will be having your promotional ceremony. If you have any missing uniform accessories, please inform your level I/Cs immediately.
Information for Sec 1s:
• Every Sec 1s are to study their footdrill bronze notes as they will be taking their footdrill bronze accreditation during the camp
• Read through the first-aid notes. Especially on the parts which they will need to know which bandage to apply to the certain types of injuries. Eg. Fracture of lower arm.

TKRCY: We Make A Difference
We are Tanjong Katong Red Cross Youth, from Tanjong Katong Secondary School. Our Teachers-In-Charge are Mdm Norlindah, Ms Liz and Ms Ning Ning. We have a long history of double gold awards (EUA and CSA), and numerous awards ranging from Footdrill, to First Aid, to Current Affairs. We participate in many activities - for example, Home Visits, Combined Trainings, First Aid Duties, Overseas Service Learning Trips and many others which are true to our motto: Serve One Another. We train our cadets not only in the different specialisations, but also train and build their character by serving the community through our various community service programs.
